It was a big night for music in Africa as Durban, South Africa hosted the "big force" in the music scene in Africa and across the continent at the 2014 MTV Africa Music Award. 
Skelewu Crooner, Davido was one of the biggest winner of the night, claiming two awards "Best Male" and "Artiste of the year" beating the likes of Wizkid, Psquare to emerge victorious.
"I'm 21 and I am living my dreams" excited Davido said when he mounted the big stage to receive the award for artiste of the year. He further showed appreciation to his producer "Shizzy" who he said has been the one pushing him, producing great beats which has helped his career.
South African duo, Mafikizolo also won big claiming "Best Group" and "Song of the Year" Awards which rendered Dr Sid's Surulere nothing to take home.
"Our first album came out in 1997, we want to appreciate African music and we thank God almighty for these awards"- excited Mafikizolo shared.
Nigerian Diva, Tiwa Savage also went home glad adding another award to her shelve as she claimed the "Best Female" category beating Ms Kedike Chidinma, Efya, Arielle T to emerge triumphant.
Another high moment was when the host of the night Marlon Wayans called Dr Sid's outfit a "Trash Bag".
