The 2012 Glo-CAF Awards has lined up top African artists to entertain at the ceremony billed for Accra on 20 December.

Top on the list is the sensational Salif Keita, an Afro-pop singer and songwriter from Mali who is rated highly because of his reputation as the "Golden Voice of Africa".

Grammy winning Ladysmith Black Mambazo from South Africa will also be thrilling guests with the harmonies that marry their native South African musical traditions to the sounds and sentiments of gospel music.

Also billed to perform is South African singer Yvonne Chaka Chaka who is expected to thrill the audience with a repertoire that includes hit tunes like I’m Burning Up and the ever-popular Umqombothi.



Lagbaja, Nigeria’s mysterious masked artist, is expected to keep the night alive with his Afro-Calypso music.

Also on the bill will be a lineup of popular Ghanaian performers, drawn mostly from Glo’s star-studded corps of brand ambassadors, who will entertain the international audience and add local flavour and colour to the ceremony.

The Glo-CAF Awards gala is one of the continent’s most prestigious sports events, providing Africa with a reputable forum for acknowledging and rewarding excellence and achievement in the various departments of
